I've gotten a lot of calls today from people checking in on us and I just wanted to let everyone know we are safe from the storm. We actually evacuated on Friday morning to Tampa, FL...spent the evening on the beach and headed to Disney World this morning! :P Sounds like a good evacuation plan doesn't it! We had our yearly Disney vacation booked to leave on Sunday and we knew there was no way we were making it out on Sunday flying standby so we just bumped up our vacation a few days. :)
We've heard from neighbors though and our home and doggies are fine. Very little damage to our home Praise God! Part of our fence got blown down but that's it. There are several trees down on the street but I haven't heard of any hitting homes so that's great! I hope everyone back in Houston is safe and has little or no damage from the storm!!!

So glad to hear it! I was going to have Greg call his mom to see if she knew anything. My sister is still in Houston. They lost part of their fence too and other than being miserable because they have no electricity, they are fine too.
